The Memphis Group (Mid-South Cartoonists Association) will present "A Nightmare on Broad Avenue," on Friday, October 2, 6 - 9 p.m.

First, I want to thank everyone who's been sending their information to me via the US Postal Service. Last night I scanned the art I have and started making my preparations to build the directory.

I've been working on upgrading the site from Drupal 5 to Drupal 6. I've got most of the stuff taken care of, and the core functions (the forum, etc.) are working.

Hey! Chapter members! I've started a Facebook group for us... Just search in groups for "National Cartoonists Society", and it'll pop up.

Attendance was small for the February 3, 2009 meeting of the WNC group of the SECNCS at Frank's Roman Pizza in Asheville.

The Tuesday, December 2, 2008 meeting of the WNC group of SECNCS was a smashing success, with our most participants to date, 20!

Well! We missed some of our members at the latest meeting, and it was their loss. The venue, the town, the guests and the weather couldn't have been better.

The August meeting of the WNC group of the SECNCS was held last night at our usual watering hole, Frank's Roman Pizza in Asheville, NC.

Nacho Bear, a series of 2 minute cartoon shorts that Art Roche pitched last year as part of an in-house search, was selected by Cartoon Network. The shorts will make their “network debut” this Sunday, June 8, from 12:00-6:00 as part of a marathon of their regular cartoons.
