The Tuesday, December 2, 2008 meeting of the WNC group of SECNCS was a smashing success, with our most participants to date, 20!

While this might be attributable to the presence of our first annual Holiday Art Swap, this reporter would be remiss not to mention the fact that a lot of people have been bringing along friends to the events every month--thus increasing our group to a size previously undreamt of.

The Art Swap (based on the Annual Chapter Art Swaps of the past) was well received with a dozen participating in that portion of the proceedings. Original artwork, hand made prints, custom cards, a custom caricature, an illustrated book, and at least one piece drawn on the spot, were exchanged during the evening.

As implied by the title "first annual", we in the Asheville area hope we've begun what will continue to be a Christmas tradition for years to come.
